The Point is a private, gated waterfront community on a 1,300-acre peninsula in Mooresville, North Carolina, about 30 miles north of uptown Charlotte and roughly 25 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport in normal traffic.
Is The Point a gated community?
Yes. The Point is gated with staffed and controlled entrances, and its interior streets are private. Access for guests, trades, and deliveries is arranged through the community's own procedures, which are administered by the property owners association — not by this website.
What kinds of homes are at The Point?
Homes range from golf-course and interior homesites to deepwater waterfront estates. Prices generally span roughly $1M to $15M+ depending on frontage, water depth, dock rights, lot position, age, and level of finish.
Do all homes at The Point have a private dock?
No. Only waterfront lots with approved shoreline classification can hold a private dock, and permitted dock size depends on frontage, water depth, and the governing shoreline management rules. Always verify dock status and permits for a specific property before relying on them.
Is Trump National Golf Club Charlotte membership included with a home?
Club membership is separate from home ownership and is governed entirely by the club. Buying at The Point does not automatically grant membership, and this site is not affiliated with the club.
